The Stark Existence/Poetic Prologue

Fear we all the state of being
to avoid death is to avoid life.
Perigrinate if you like, save who?
the other man's poor existence?

Absence of death is a life of absence;
our scope has moored long ago
the primordial form of thought.
To escape suffering is a suffering for itself,
and we pall ourselves with dreams. Alas!

Death strides along with us,
yet we condemn him.
Life ordained death, and
if so we condemn life.

Man is but a leaf, flowing.
Man is a silhouette, dimming,
in this world of grotesqueries.

Perpetuity of life is perpetuity of death;
the end of life is the end of death.

The moratorium frightens you;
scared be not, eased you shall be,
when you face the gates of dissolution.

On Modernity

Since WWII the world has gone through a carnal process that had made western society obsessed with its' material culture and it's general happiness – or, to phrase it better: with it's HEDONISTIC state. The delusional humanistic values and liberalization of thought and practicality created a society that is passive, non-intellectual, hedonistic, materialistic and fatalistic in behavior. The heroic nature, the surge of adventurous inspiration and the denial of war as a natural manifestation of basic human need has caused the world to be over-socialized and commerce bound; Since the ruling notion today is that societies and nations that have strong commercial relations won't turn against each other in wars, we all became mice, chasing the iridescent sheen of money while being haunted by a fat cat called "Materialistic Competition", as well as turning us all into beings with financial agendas; that includes our so called "leaders" who will actually do anything for financial strength, and will use a variety of tools while proclaiming they're against any feud or conflict. Not only that, but since over the last 100 years we 'reproduced' colossally, opened the gates and shores of nations to immigrants and created a “financially/economically efficient” societies, we have an over-socialized multicultural populace competing for job slots with acute conflicts occurring in the background as westerns pall themselves with dreams of unity of all races and groups, equality and so on...

In Nietzsche's "Thus Spoke Zarathustra", after the famous declaration of the protagonist about the Death of God, he asks "For What?". It is in fact a rhetorical question in Nietzsche's eyes, but for most human beings it meant and still means – the lack of divine intervention in our lives, the freedom to think out of the self-righteous boundaries of religion and to create a world that is driven by a new codex of behavior, a corrected and enlightened one. What happened is actually a 'continuum' of the previously dominant Judeo-Christian morality to which modern westerners still pay tributes. From the same ethical notions we see all those great "personas" preaching for kindness and humane behavior towards each other. That is compatible with two things: the claim that human beings are naturally good, optimistic, kind and caring and what ensues from that is a liberal hedonistic life style that modern science and technology so desperately try to sustain. Indeed, modern science is just another humanistic tool that leftists and liberals from a bourgeois background are using to promote their “objective” aspiration as to what our world should be like. Our modern science (composed out of the slightly moronic socialist and definitely leftist people coming from the middle boring middle-class) is paradoxical and hypocritical. Scientists are trying to fix the horrible past of science, the misuse of the awesome Scientific method for evil deeds (again, driven by the old ethics of Christianity, but claiming religion is false and dangerous at times), the 'idiotic' values of social Darwinists and their devilish use of the holy concept of Evolution. The aims of science today are just a pure example of hypocritical absurdity, and since scientists are so confident of the rightfulness of their way, and by the funding of wealthy handed and opportunistic governments, they educate naive students attending their lectures in freedom-cheering universities to continue stumbling upon this path. The concept of Evolution, for example, is used as “a campaign of secularization in scientific-materialistic society”. Western science (led by the American individuals) for example, is trying to deal with the question of classifying humans into races by summing the whole studying of the subject in childish proclaims such as :”the differences between human beings are so minor that it's true to day that there are no races within the human race itself”. The recollections of WWII and the inequality of blacks in America are still fresh, and thus scientists are afraid to re-awake the beast of racial separation by destroying the term race and fighting those who even think of this subject in a speculative and inquisitive manner. For the diffrences between cultures, there's always a hidden factor that makes one culture superior (“relatively” speaking) then another. Finally, there's the denial of Moral Absolutism (the absolute ethics of religion). In the same breath, science is trying to depict and create a world that is “objectively” equal, where everyone is free to express and fulfill his own individualistic aspirements, where men and women are the same, where all ethnic groups are to be mixed together for a richer life, where racial differences or even races do not exist any longer and by thus, creating an absolute moral law, or absolute moral existence that is supposedly "objective". Scientists today are trying so hard to be open-minded and to stay away out of conservative fixation, we have all those psychologists, sociologists and sexologists, that discuss sexual manners so openly that children today grow thinking that it's all about sex, and later on, in school, they're being told that they should study in order to enter the job market and hopefully start a successful career, so that they can buy the newest technological gadgets, the coolest cars and live a very shallow but “satisfying” life.
Let us deepen our thought and discuss shortly the concept of Evolution I have only mentioned by name earlier. Let's face it, we are animals. Yes, we have imagination, we can shape the world around us according to our needs and we understand it in a way no other animal or living organism on this earth ever understood. But, we're still animals and some of nature's basic laws still apply on us. Yet, in modern society and despite our knowledge of Evolution today and and intensive scientific studies in the fields of Paleo-Anthropology, Paleontology and what's realted to them, we still have a difficult time accepting it. It seems we have laws of our own, and nature is just a raw material we use malignly in order to fulfill devastating dreams of foolish people who control and grease the wheels of industry, by using the muscles of Capitalism. We invent ethical laws, because apparently we are not like animals who kill in order to survive or thrive as we strive for power, and we hang onto morality when we feel uncertain of our ways – as if it really matters. Indeed, our mind is perplexed and complicated and what ensues from that is that our physical presence on earth has to be different from other organisms. But, we have reached the point where we are far from getting anything or producing anything that's worthwhile, because of politically correctness and the caprices of uncertain people; people who can preach for the love of nature and pretend to be nature's guardians and at the same time enjoy the spoils of Capitalism and technology. Ancient cultures that we still in bond with nature, that were still to naive to exploit it so balefully, actually did and achieved amazing things that 'moderners' do not appreciate or acknowledge. There's a point where most of our science and technology is a waste of time – and that is where our slow and easy death begins, unless...

So, I ask “For what?”. The death of god created a post-atheistic pseudo-progressive world – westerns are fooling themselves thinking that nowadays, that it's legitimate to be an atheist or a “floating” believer (a one who believes in God...in his own terms) they enjoy freedom and scientific progression, that they're individuals (equal individuals...what a joke), that a basis of understandment we call “Pluralism” is ensuring their prosperous lives along with other human beings, despite all conflicts. The world post-WWII is composed out of slavish mentality – the vast majority of (and I'm talking VAST!) westerners, civilized and free as they may be, are still slaves to new populistic tools that manipulatively creative minds apply on them - In Christian times it was the word of the church and God's earthly apostles and servants. Today, it is Television, sluggish gossip news, fake humane belief/passivity of thought and addiction to useless things, addiction to consumerism, gadgets, shopping malls and non-stopping sexually viscid experiences. And these are just some of the more dominant activities and interests of modern, civilized, western society.

On top of all the things I have mentioned here, there's one political system that alows it all to happen and encourages all the phenomenons I have described; modern DEMOCRACY. Since the dawn of colonialism, America and clumsy Europe conduct the horrific concert of "freedom" and bragging their enlightened democratic systems, the choice of the 'demos'; the people. I think we have reached the point where people are trusting democracy so blindingly that it is almost as if they were...brainwashed. Alas! Dear...must I speak of it? Must I deny the greatness of Democratic system that makes us so happy and rosy? I have to admit that It'll be unwise to speak of a political system such as Democracy without representing its' various ideological wings, historical metamorphosis and influential regulators. But, in order to simplify the whole explanation process, there is always the option to bring a blazing example to prove a point. I assume that we all agree that Democracy is based upon egalitarian premises, and on the immortal principle of Equality. Another political and philosophical notion that is very dominant in modern Democracy is the concept of Individualism. Now, every citizen in Democracy knows he, as a human being, is equal to any other human being. Added to this biologically and naturally wrong premise, is the concept of individual freedom. Since every individual is different from another - we have a logical and existential contradiction between these two premises. I can summarize it by declaring "You are all different from each other, therefore you're all the same."

I can deepen much further into this subject, but I have the feeling it is, in some way, a waste of time.
